IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.

Account Types
______________________________________________

Share Savings Accounts:
Your share savings account is your primary account. $25 is required to maintain your membership. It provides a good place to save regularly at a competitive dividend rate, build your rainy-day fund, or accumulate enough savings to purchase certificates. Share savings can be withdrawn at any time. Once you are a member, you may open more than one savings account.

Share Draft Accounts:
Open this account for just $100.00 and begin enjoying basic checking at its best, with no fees. Our Share Draft Accounts feature:

  • No monthly service charge
  • No minimum balance requirement
  • No direct deposit requirement
  • No per-check charges
  • Overdraft protection
  • Bill Payment

Christmas Club Accounts:
The Credit Union’s Christmas Club allows you to put money aside all year long for holiday purchases. On October 1st the funds are automatically deposited into your share account, and your Christmas funds become available for use. A $20 penalty applies for early withdrawals.

Vacation Club Accounts:
The Credit Union’s Vacation Account allows you to put money aside all year long for vacations. The account allows for four withdrawals in a calendar year without penalty. A $20 penalty applies for withdrawals in excess of four.

Youth Savings Accounts:
Whether you put aside money for a rainy day or for a special purchase, saving is a good habit to form. The earlier we can teach our children the importance of saving, the better.

Our Children’s Savings Accounts are developed especially for credit union members ages 0 – 17 years. We desire to help introduce the importance of saving, planning, and financial responsibility to our younger members.

Share Certificates of Deposit:
The Credit Union offers from 12 months to 36 months Share Certificates. A minimum of $500 is needed to open a C.D. Interest is calculated on a 365-day basis and is compounded monthly. You may collect the interest in one of the following ways:

  • Added to your principal
  • Paid monthly to your regular share account
  • Paid directly to you.
  • The penalty for early withdrawal is 180 days of interest.
